Osaka’s glass culture dates back to the Edo period (1603-1868) when samurai in kimono once strode through the streets.
We hope to keep that tradition alive. That’s why we chose to use “Temmakiriko,”
a cut glass born from these nostalgic sentiments.
Embracing bold cuts and soft expressions achieved through hand polishing, we designed it as a grip-type door handle.
Alongside the brilliance of glass, the snug fit of the indentations when gripped adds to its charm.

Traditional Crafts

Tenma Kiriko is an exceptionally beautiful glass craft work that is perfectly suited for high-class bars.
Characterized by its lens-shaped cuts, Tenma Kiriko features lenses that reflect a virtual image of the other cuts, creating a pattern that resembles butterfly wings.

As the lens-shaped cuts reflect one another, imperfections become immediately apparent if perfect symmetry is not maintained.
Reminiscent of kaleidoscopes, Tenma Kiriko glass works are truly masterpieces of technical craftsmanship.

Tenma Kiriko is counted among one of the original cut-glass arts that have developed in Japan.
We hope you will try adding one of these exquisite pieces to your own beautiful collection.
